The Ostrich Room focuses on pre-kindy learning – it’s all about building the confidence, curiosity and social skills that will support a smooth transition into a formal kindy or preschool program the following year.

Q: How do you introduce early literacy and numeracy?

Through play. We embed early concepts into group games, storytelling, puzzles, counting activities and conversations – always in ways that feel natural and engaging for this age group.

Q: What if my child still needs help with self-care routines?

That’s completely normal. We support each child where they’re at – whether that’s with toileting, dressing, or managing their emotions – and gently encourage growing independence with lots of praise and reassurance.
